The DMV Scleral Stand is used for the insertion of scleral lenses. This very simple design allows for an inexpensive, hands-free insertion option. A DMV Vented Scleral Cup is included with each Scleral Stand.

Looking down through the Scleral Stand, the user can use a white background to create a target to help insert their lens. Since the base of the stand absorbs light, the user can also use a flashlight to create a lit target to help guide them for insertion.

Product Usage

For use with vented scleral lens insertion devices.

1. Wash hands thoroughly before handling scleral contact lenses or the stand.

2. Place the vented scleral inserter device upright in the stand on a clean, stable surface.

3. Fill the cup of the inserter device with non-preserved saline solution before inserting your scleral lens.

4. Use the stand as a stable holder while filling the inserter cup with solution and your lens.

5. Pick up the loaded inserter from the stand and insert the lens into your eye following standard scleral lens insertion technique.

Care:

- Wash the stand frequently in warm soapy water and allow to air dry.

- Allow the stand to air dry between uses.

- Replace if the stand becomes damaged or unstable.

The stand is a holding accessory designed to make scleral lens insertion easier by providing a stable platform for the inserter device while preparing it with saline solution and the lens.
