Product Usage
ZEST (Zocular Eyelid System Technology) - Doctor-administered procedure for in-office use only.
How ZEST Works:
1. A special okra-based gel is applied to the eyelid margins and lashes using a specialized swab.
2. The eye doctor gently massages the gel into a lather, working it into the eyelids to remove dirt, oil, and irritants.
3. The gel is then rinsed away with saline, leaving the eyelids clean, refreshed, and soothed.
ZEST is like a deep shampoo for the eyes to clean and debride the lids and lashes. The procedure involves applying a gel to the eyelid margin and lashes with a cotton swab and cleaning in a circular motion, working the gel into a lather. Following the deep cleansing procedure, the gel is rinsed off with saline solution.
Patients will notice an improvement in their dry eye symptoms, blepharitis and demodex after only one treatment.
With a simple in-office ZEST procedure using ZocuKit, dry eye symptoms as measured by SPEED score can improve by at least 50%.
